1. Build systems and patterns

2. Simplify designs, know your speed, learn to edit

3. Use industry tools (don't reinvent the wheel!)

5. Shorten transitions-Layer the steps 

DON'Ts:

1. Paint bad, short change the customer, freestyle

2. Ignore people

3. Put speed vibe on others, pay faster, climb and dismount, etc. 

4. Run yourself into the ground, pay attention to your mood/ biochem/anger

Meet the Instructor

Laura Pennock, also known as The Fairy Fox, is on a mission to help people feel seen and celebrated. Whether she’s face painting, twisting balloons, decorating with henna, teaching, or creating pottery, her work is always inspired by nature and driven by a desire to connect with fellow enthusiasts.

Specializing in whimsical fantasy and animal-inspired designs, Laura primarily works at pay-per-face festivals, bringing joy and color to events with her imaginative art.

Laura’s work has been featured on platforms such as YouTube, Skillshare, Facepaint.com, FABA TV, and the 2020 Summit. She also offers one-on-one Zoom classes for those interested in learning directly from her. You may have met Laura in person at events like FABAIC (2022), MAX (2023), ACE (2023), Kapital Kidvention (2022, 2023), or at one of the many workshops she has led across the country. Her talents have earned her awards in speed painting, team balloon twisting, and the ever-challenging “All the Balloons” contests. Masterclass FAQs

1. Is this a live session or pre-recorded?

Answer:
This is a live session. Please check the Zoom details after purchase or refer to the product image for the time and date of the masterclass.

2. Do I need to create an account on Facepaint.com?

Answer:
Yes, make sure that the email address on your Facepaint.com account matches the one you used on the day you purchased the masterclass.

3. Can I speak during the class?

Answer:
Upon entering the Zoom session, all students will be muted. However, you are allowed to speak—simply raise your hand using the emoji in Zoom. When the moderator notices, they will unmute you. Please make sure that your question or comment is relevant to the instructor’s demonstration.

Once the class is over, if there is still time, the moderator will allow everyone to speak, ask questions, share opinions, and express gratitude to the instructor and fellow face painters.

4. Will I be able to ask questions?

Answer:
Yes, you can ask questions during the class, but you must type them in the chat. The moderator will read them aloud for the instructor and students. The instructor will answer them right away. Please ensure your questions are related to the instructor’s demonstration to avoid distractions and make the best use of time.

5. If I leave during the class, will I be able to rejoin?

Answer:
Yes, as long as the class is still ongoing.
If you try to rejoin after the scheduled time, you will not be able to access the Zoom link as it will have expired.

6. How do I access the masterclass recordings?

Answer:
• Ensure You Have a Facepaint.com Account: Please make sure you already have an account on our Facepaint.com website.
• Use the Same Email Address: The email address you used on the day you purchased the product should be the same one you use to log in to our website. This ensures your access to the class.
• Go to the Member’s Area: Once logged in, navigate to the “MEMBER’S AREA,” which is under the “Masterclasses” tab, where you will find the recorded masterclass videos. You can watch and rewatch them at your convenience!

7. How long will it take for the recorded masterclass to be available on the website?

Answer:
Please allow up to 24 hours for the recorded masterclass to be accessible at your convenience.

8. How will I know when the recorded masterclass is available on the website?

Answer:
You will receive an email notification once the video has been uploaded.

9. What if I have trouble logging in or accessing the recordings?

Answer:
• Double-check that you are logging in with the same email address you used to purchase the masterclass. It must be the same to ensure you can access the recordings.
• Check your internet connection.

10. Will I get updates about new content or future masterclasses?

Answer:

Yes, we have a calendar of events on our homepage.
