Sometimes you get a little bored having to do the same old Spider-man or Batman design. This week, we're going to mash and mix things up a bit with my Spider-man/Batman Smash Up.
Here's what you'll need to create this design:
- Global Body Art Rainbow Split Cake - New Delhi
- Global Body Art Blue Face Paint - Standard Dark Blue
- FAB Blue Face Paint - Magic Blue
- FAB White Face Paint - White
- Kryvaline Green Regular Line - Neon Green
- Wolfe White Face Paints - White
- GraffitiEyes Stencil Kit - ButterflEyes
- GraffitiEyes Stencil Kit - Ultimate
- Loew-Cornell® Gold Grip #4 Round Brush
- Paradise Filbert Brush
- MiKim FX Hand-cut Petal Sponge
- Mehron Glitter Dust - Deacon Blue
Here's how to apply:
First, load your petal sponge with your Global Rainbow Cake and begin stippling onto the forehead in a half circle shape.
Next, Load your Filbert brush with FAB White and paint the Spider-man eye on one eye only. Then, load your Filbert brush with Global Blue and paint the same shape on the other eye.
Continue with your Filbert Brush and load it with FAB Magic Blue. You will be painting the shape of the Mask. It will be very similar to a regular Batman mask.
Next, load your petal sponge with FAB Magic Blue and using your Butterfly Eye Stencil, stipple the pattern onto each eye area as shown above.
Continue with your Magic Blue and reload your Filbert brush to create the Batman/Spider-man head shape.
Load your #4 Round brush with Wolfe White and paint a tiny Spider-man eye on the same side as your large White Spider-man Eye.
Grab your Filbert brush again and load it with Global Dark Blue. Outline each eye, including the tiny Spider-man eye followed by the entire mask.
Continue by adding a somewhat squiggly line down the middle to separate the characters. Add some horizontal lines in a random pattern that start at the middle dividing line and extend into the Batman side a bit. Next, add webbing to the small Spider-man face and the entire Spider-man side of the mask.
Take your Petal sponge and your Ultimate Graffiti Eye stencil and sponge the dot pattern onto the Batman side of the mask using your Global Dark Blue. Next, load your #4 Round brush with Neon Green and highlight the entire mask. Don't forget to add some accent dots on the Spider-man side and to the top of the design.
Then, load your #4 Round brush with Wolfe White and outline the entire mask. Add a little more white to the tiny Spider-man eye to brighten it up a bit.
Finally, add glitter and you are done! This design is always fun when you are in the mood to shake things up a bit. It's always a nice surprise for the kids as well.
Check back with us next week and be sure to let us know what you would like to see in future blogs. Don't forget to share your designs with us on Facebook.
Until next time… Live, Love, Paint.
