Halloween is time when we have lots of gigs and events involving kids,we have to be prepared with designs that are not scary.So I wanted to paint something cute,funny and kids friendly.

My work place always looks messy when I'm done with painting,but I wanted to show you most of the product we are gonna use for this design.Product list will be at the end.

Step 1

Since this was the first time I'm painting this design i love to do a rough sketch of it.This way you want have colors overlaying and get all smudgy.Design is small and has small details so sometimes it's difficult to keep all colors in their place.

Step 2

Now we can go to filling this Cartooned Halloween design!I'm using tag dark blue and fab Minty blue for dress and hat.(Minty blue is one of my favorite colors)Small flat brush will give you good coverage and control for filling bigger areas.

Step 3

After painting design we can do outlining of it.Using round brush No2 go over white sketch lines with black paint to accent all the details.

Step 4

Since this is "on the job" design, I'm not gonna be so detailed but,adding shades on design will make it more realistic and dimensional.For shading I'm always using powder paint-starblends and blending brush.

Step 5

After shading it's time for some stenciling.I use stencils to fill the empty spaces and give design some "movement".You can use powder paints or regular paints or combine both.With this our Cartooned Halloween design is done.
