Watermelon Butterfly Design

First up, Linnea kicked off with a fun and fruity Watermelon Butterfly design. Using a petal-shaped sponge, she layered shimmering pink and red paints from theSuperstar brand. She demonstrated a beautiful technique combining Valentine shimmer with baby pink shimmer to create soft, glistening wings.

The design featured upper triangular wings and lower rounded wings outlined in green with a one-stroke technique. To make it pop, Linnea added black teardrop-shaped seeds and white highlights, finishing with a white separation line between the green and red sections. Optional stars and glitter added a playful sparkle.

Dolphins in Love Design

Next came the Dolphins in Love, a heartwarming design symbolizing summer romance. With shimmering eyeshadow using Seashell and Star Patrol Shimmer, Linnea gave the piece a dreamy, princess-like flair. The dolphins were painted usingSpring Leaf one-stroke paint from the Flower Bouquet Palette.

Linnea showcased her mastery in brush selection, using a 5/8 inch angle brush for smaller faces and a ¾ inch brush for larger canvases. She cleverly formed an eternity sign with dolphins facing each other, linked by heart-shaped teardrops. The final touches included expressive black eyes, white highlights, and detailed mouths for personality.

Cool Emoji with Tropical Background

Linnea's third design was perfect for boys (and emoji lovers everywhere): the Cool Emoji with a tropical vibe. Starting with a flawless yellow circle created using a large round sponge, she brought the emoji to life.

The background was built usingTropical Hibiscus paint from the Flower Bouquet Palette, with blue waves painted in Blue Bell one-stroke paint. Palm trees, white highlights, and the emoji’s sunglasses completed the summer-ready masterpiece. Linnea emphasized the value of using high-quality brushes like King's Art, Face Painting Hub, Superstar, and Lowell Cornell for detailed work.

Seashell Collection Design

The fourth design featured a beachySeashell Collection, showcasing four distinct seashell types. Linnea used one-stroke paints like Rose Garden, Autumn Leaf, Romantic Lily, and Viola to give each shell its unique look.

Outlines were done with darker shades from each palette, while seaweed and coral details were crafted with a twisting technique using Summer Leaf paint. Bubbles in various sizes added an underwater feel. Linnea also gave valuable advice on brush cleaning: use brush bath liquid during events and follow up with brush soap and a brush egg after gigs.

Summer Roses Design

Last but not least: the whimsical Summer Roses. Using a 5/8 inch one-stroke brush with white on the tip and a darker shade on the base, Linnea layered petals to build beautiful five-petal roses. Rosebuds and detailed leaves were added for extra realism.

This design was perfect for quick festival or party face painting, taking just 2-3 minutes to complete. For added flair, Linnea suggested optional elements like honeycomb patterns, glitter, stars, ladybugs, and dots. And of course, always ask the kids their favorite colors for a personalized touch!
