The golden glove with all the infinity stones in place is the ultimate goal for Thanos in the movie “Infinity War”. This design can capture a child’s imagination as they pretend to wield its power. This is a quick one stroke design that will be sure to create little super heroes at your events!
Supplies for the Bling Cluster
Gems: orange, red, blue, purple, green and a large yellow gem
Gold Tulip Glitter Dimensional fabric paint
Plastic sheet protector
Grid paper
Step one: make an Infinity Stone bling cluster
Making bling clusters is quite easy! I made a paper template on my computer so it was easy to know where to place the gems. If you just have grid paper, that works too. It will be helpful in keeping everything lined up. Slip your template into a plastic page protector. Then, with fabric paint, squeeze out the desired amount onto the plastic and place a gem on the paint and gently push it down so the paint comes out around the edges of the gem. Do this with all 6 gems. I would suggest to start with the large yellow center gem. Let this dry. It may take a couple days so plan ahead. When it is dry, simply peel it off the plastic.
Supplies for the design
Silly Farm arty brush cake: teddy bear
Step two: paint the outline
Using the teddy bear arty brush cake, paint the outer edge of the glove. This design ends at the knuckles. It is hard for kids to protect their fingers from water, food, etc. This will stay on a bit longer!
Step three: fill it in
Fill the inside in with gold paint on a sponge. Blend it out so there is no line between the light brown and the gold.
Step four: paint large background portions
Using the teddy bear arty cake again, paint a center strip, a long triangle on the bottom half and a semi circle on the top half.
Step five: line work
With a round brush and black Wolfe paint, create the details of the glove. You can adjust the amount of line work depending on the the time you have. I added a little gold to bring out the details and added a few dots.
Step six: add the infinity stones
Be sure to apply glue to the back of the infinity stone bling cluster ahead of time so it has a chance to dry before placing it on the design. With white add some highlights and star bursts around the design to make it sparkle.
Step seven: give it some added energy!
With super heroes, there is always massive amounts of energy, sparks, electric currents and all sorts of special effects. So let’s add some! Prepare a base by sponging on some orange and yellow paint from a rainbow cake.
Step eight: add power
Paint some lines that look like energy, current, or lightning coming from the glove. Add some dots and star bursts and glitter if desired.
And now you have given one child a days worth of playing super hero wars!
