Video Tutorial: Floral Butterfly Mask by Beth MacKinney

 

Butterflies are one of the bread and butter designs of the professional face painter, and you can't have too many variations for your summer events. If you struggle with butterflies, I hope this design with elements inspired by several of my favorite artists, such as Annie Reynolds and Denise Cold, will be something you enjoy painting, and which will make butterfly requests easier for you.

Materials

TAG pearl lilac
TAG pearl white
TAG medium green
TAG light green
Global small split Sydney  (or Global dark purple, magenta, and orange)
• Paradise orchid
White face paint (Diamond FX or Wolfe)
#2 round round brush
#4 round brush (optional)
Small filbert brush
Blending brush
Loew Cornell Flora petal brush #6
Small petal brush
Sponge
Cosmetic grade glitter
 Silver liquid bling
