We’re moving right along to the Tiger design. This design is popular, easy, and works for both boys and girls. This is an important factor for me. I like to mix some girl designs, boy designs, and also have as many unisex designs that I find to be popular. So let’s get started with this week’s instalment of, What’s on Your Board.
Products Used:
- Silly Farm Rainbow Split Cakes – Brilliant Bling
- Wolfe Face Paints – Black
- Always Wicked Art Half Round Sponge
- Wolfe Face Paints – White
- Ben Nye Aqua Glitter – Copper
- Silly Farm Paint Pal Swirl Brushes – #4 Round Brush
The Application:
For the fastest of tiger designs, start out by loading your sponge with your rainbow cake and sponge onto the eye.
Load your #4 Round brush with Wolfe Black and paint the eyelid as shown. Next, begin painting the tiger stripes.
Continue adding stripes until you have filled in the entire area.
Finally, paint a stripe under the eye and fill in any other areas where you had previously sponged the rainbow cake color. Remember, this is for crunch time moments.
Now let’s move on to a more detailed tiger. There are so many different and beautiful tiger options out there. For me, I find this one to be a pretty quick design and also a nice clean design. So here we go:
Load your sponge with your rainbow cake and sponge in the tiger base. I always begin with the ears and then work my way out from there. Add a poof of glitter before the paint dries.
Load your #4 round brush with Wolfe Black and paint the eyes as shown. I generally skip this step for a boy. In that case, you would just extend the ears down to the sides of the eyes.
Next, paint the ears using teardrop and dagger strokes. Continue by adding three stripes at the top that will connect the ears to the tiger”s head.
Add the muzzle and middle line for the muzzle. Next. outline the rest of the area from the muzzle to the eyes.
Finally, starting on the outline you just created, paint your tiger stripes from the outside and then in, all pointing toward the bridge of the nose.
And don’t forget those tiger teeth. Load your #4 round brush with Wolfe White and paint a teardrop on the bottom corner of each side of the lip.
This tiger works best for me. I hope you will find it to be a helpful design to add to your board too.
Check back with us next week for another must have design. Be sure to let us know what you would like to see in future blogs and be sure to share your designs with us on Facebook.
Until next time… Live, Love, Paint.
