3/4 Angle Unicorn Head
For the structure, I start with a circle. We have two ears and the horn. The horn is more on the middle of the face. We can see both eyes so we can also see both ears but one is just a little bit smaller than the other one. Then I do the muzzle.
Now, I'll just cover my unicorn in Kryolan White, then I'll make the mane with my Little Drop brush. For this type of head, the fringe is in the middle, around the horn, between the 2 ears. I just used some white in the mane to create texture and a more elaborate unicorn. For the blush and ear, I use Elisa Griffith Flamingo Powder.
Then the most difficult part, the outlining and drawing the eyes. I'm using a very fine #0 brush. I'm twisting my horn. I always start outlining at the top of the unicorn. I'll add some lines inside the mane to create movement. Create the nose, the smile, chin and jaw. We have one eye that's more like the one on a "profile head unicorn." The other eye is smaller, approximately half. So, very, very small details.
Finish up the eyes. For eyelashes, I start inside the iris for more amplitude and to make it look finer. I'm using Ziva Blue from Superstar. My favorite color for eyes. Then I'll add little white dots for highlights and more expression. I'm using Paraffin White by Fusion with a Round brush #3. So this is a 3/4 unicorn head.
Types of Legs
So the position of the unicorn is static or a "hello" position. We have one leg here. It's a very simple one.
So for this one, we have 2 legs. Both legs are bent. It's like a standing position. We have one leg infront, and the second one is in the back.
And for the last one, you have 2 legs but they're stretched out on the front like it's jumping. It's like Superman!
Types of Wings
The classic one is like a plume or a bigger teardrop. The wings are always in a 45-degree angle. You can make it little for a cuter unicorn or bigger for a realistic unicorn and you can add more layers.
The more elaborate one is a pegasus style so it's more curved. It's a bit thinner and fine in the middle.
The last one is the closed one. It's like a G shape. For a unicorn with closed wings, the unicorn is over the eyebrow. You maybe need to make a smaller one, not too big but that depends on the forehead, of course. The design doesn't cover the eyes but it's just over the eyebrow.
