Sugar skull designs are very popular and have so many unique looks, I thought it would be fun to give a real candy look to one of these designs.
Paints:
Graftobian Pro Paint: Tickled Pink, MegaGenta, Raven Black, Buttercup Yellow
Tools:
Hydra sponge cut in half
*Make sure your subject has a clean face before starting your artwork.
Step 1. Dampen the hydra sponge and load with pink face paint, cover the entire face but you can leave the eye area blank as this will be black.
Step 2. Wet the medium round brush and paint the half circles over the eyebrow.
Step 3. Wet the chisel brush and fill in the half circles with yellow paint.
Step 4. With the chisel brush paint eyelid and lower eye line black.
Step 5. Use the medium round brush and black to make the lines for the mouth.
Step 6. For the nose design, use the medium round brush and black paint.
Step 7. To create the heart shaped lips use the medium round brush and MegaGenta.
Step 8. To give our skull some cute cheeks, mist the MegaGenta cake with lightly water, use a makeup wedge to apply paint to the cheeks.
*The makeup is now complete, we added a hairband with a pink and white bow to accent our look.
