If you’re tired of using the same old skull designs for Halloween, you’ll love adding this skull design to your board. It’s fast and cute. It can be easily adapted to use for a boy, girl or an adult. Since I have a daughter, I went ahead with the girl version. So let’s get started!

Here’s what you’ll need:

1. Mehron Paradise Face Paints – Dark Pink
2. TAG 1 Stroke Split Cakes – Snake
3. Wolfe Face Paints – Black
4. Global Body Art Face Paint – Standard Yellow
5. Always Wicked Art Butterfly Sponge
6. Cameleon #3 Filbert Brush
7. Mehron Mark Reid Signature #4 Round Brush
8. Amerikan Body Art Cosmetic Glitter – Brilliant White

The Application:

Load your Cameleon #3 Filbert Brush with Paradise Face Paints – Dark Pink and begin by painting a circle shape in the middle of the forehead and two wing shapes in each side of the circle. Poof with glitter before the paint dries.

Load your Cameleon #3 Filbert Brush with TAG 1 Stroke Split Cakes – Snake. I used the Yellow and Light Green, making sure to keep the green on the outside of the design. Paint just above the bow and continue on the sides of the face and just above the lips. This will be your skull outline.

Load your Always Wicked Art Butterfly Sponge with Global Body Art Face Paint – Standard Yellow and fill in the design using a stipple motion. Load your  Always Wicked Art Butterfly Sponge with the green from your TAG 1 Stroke Split Cakes – Snake and sponge in the eyes, nose and cheek area. Poof some glitter onto the design before the paint dries.

From here, it’s all about outlining. Grab your Wolfe Face Paints – Black and using your Mehron Mark Reid Signature #4 Round Brush outline the bow and skull.

You will continue outlining the eye area and add a skull nose to the design.

Finally, you will paint the bottom lip and add teeth lines to the upper lip. I also added a crack or two on the skull itself, which can be done when time permits.

Your cute skull is done! If you wanted to adapt this for a boy, you would just leave out the bow and eyelashes. With a little practice, this design can be easily done in under 3 minutes.
