Halloween Scary Zombie by Linnéa

"Halloween Scary Zombie"

This zombie is a scary design that be used on both adults and older kids, like my model Teo, 10 years here. So if you are a Walking Dead fan or just want to make someone wished their locked their doors for Halloween, you have to try this design. The older kids love it and I am sure you will too. Happy painting!

Step 1: Sponge base.

Use your sponge to zombiefy your skin. I used some glycerin based colours from FAB/Superstar here to make it blend better. The colours I used are called: "White", "Ochre", "Lime Green" and "Rusty". I used the red colour around the eye and a little bit of Global "Deep Magenta".

Step 2: Outline base.

Use the dark brown colour and the warm brown colour from the Global Skin Tone Palette and a #4 round brush to make the outline base. Make some dark rings under the eyes, outline some wrinkles, holes, the teeth and the mouth going from the chin and up a little bit up on the nose.

Step 3: Blending and filling.

Fill in the holes and just around the teeth using a #4 round brush and a red colour. I used a darker red from FAB/Superstar called "Rusty". Fill in with the darker brown colour and a little bit of black on the upper part of the holes and on the top and bottom of the mouth. Time to start blending! Take your dry blending brush and a wet wipe to slightly moisture it and start blending the outlines and blend the red and brown together on the edges.

Step 4: Teeth, highlights and blood.

Fill in the teeth with the mustard yellow colour first with your #2 round brush. I used a FAB/Superstar colour called "Ochre". Paint on top of the yellow teeths in the middle with a waxy white, I used a white from Diamond FX. Make sure to NOT paint all over the teeths with the white, you want the teeths to look gross. Use the same waxy white to do the highlights between the wrinkles, on the bottom of the holes, around the mouth and on the gums. To make the zombie look more scary I added some blood. Use a darker red to make the blood look more aged. I used "Rusty" from FAB/Superstar and a #4 round brush and made the consistency more watery. Use your finger here and there to make it look messy, and use a business card to sprinkle the watery colour with your brush for bloodstains.

And your scary zombie is done!
