Those two will definitely be among most wanted designs at every party or event, so let's try to make them as cute as we can and of course as fast as we can.
When I'm creating "on the job" designs, they have to meet some guidelines. The design has to be recognizable (kids don't pay attention to details if basic shape is done correctly). Also, I always try to use at least two colors in a split cake, so I can avoid fine lining if it's busy event or I have a wiggly kid on my chair. Lastly, using stencils to quickly give that special something is also important.
With all this in mind it's time to paint!
Step 1
I paint the basic shape of Toothless and Light Fury with my large filbert brush. Toothless is black and has some spikes - to get that 3D effect we are using a black and gray split cake. Light Fury is white but I've picked up just a bit of light blue with a tip of my brush to create a bit of contrast and the illusion of glow. Then I got my No1 round brush and with gray paint I quickly drew her jaw and ears.
Step 2
The eyes are really easy; they're almond-shaped and placed close to the their nose. Use a small round brush to create them and if you get them right it's already great design and kids will recognize toothless and Light Fury with no problem. With my black starblend and blending brush I created shadows, making sure to accentuate their jaw line, ears, brow bone and spikes.
Step 3
To finish up this Toothless and Light Fury In love design we have to paint a heart between them. And then add some interest to design with stencils, be creative and use what ever pattern you want - maybe reptile scales or dinosaur pattern, it's up to you! If you want you can outline them with black or gray for Light Fury to make design pop out even more, and that's it.
I hope you like this design and that you are gonna try to paint it.I f you do please tag us (facepaintcom) so we can see your creations. Thank you
