Athena Zhe shows her face paint sponging technique, including paint loading, using a spray bottle and blending.
The way I load my sponges is as follows. I use a spray bottle with water, spray it directly onto the sponge, generously load it with paint, and then I lightly apply it onto the skin, tamping down. I also love using my sponges for blending to create a nice, beautiful ombre look. It's nice to do it with paints that have complimentary colors, for example, green goes very well with yellow, so I'm going to do a green and yellow blend.
So I'm going to apply the green using my sponge, and then apply the yellow right underneath. Now I'll bring it up into the green, to give a beautiful ombre look.
