Hi there painty friends! Thanks for joining me for this week's Easter Mask tutorial. Let's jump right in to this cute design.
Here's what you'll need:
- Silly Farm Split Cakes - Hippie
- Silly Farm Split Cakes - Juicy Fruit
- Paradise Teal T Face Paint
- Wolfe White Face Paints - White
- Wolfe Black Face Paints - Black
- Cameleon Kabuki Sponge
- Graftobian Angle Brush (1/2")
- Loew-Cornell® Gold Grip #4 Round Brush
- Bad Ass Mini Stencils - Dotty
- Mama Clown Iridescent Glitter
- Bling Clusters - Royalty
Here's how to apply:
Load your Kabuki Sponge with Orange and Yellow from your Juicy Fruit Rainbow Cake and stipple a circle shape in between the eyes as shown. Keep the orange on the bottom side of the circle.
Load your angle brush with the Pink, Yellow and Green from your Hippie Cake and begin your stroke just above the circle shape. You will do this on both sides to make a "heart-like" shape surrounding the circle. Continue by painting petals on each side of the heart as shown.
Continue adding an additional set of petals on each side and extend the stroke around to the corner of the eye. Follow with another stroke from the corner of the eye to the edge of the nose.
Next, load your #4 round brush with orange from your Juicy Fruit cake and paint in an egg shape at the corner of each eye, followed by a pink egg. You will still be using your Juicy Fruit cake for the pink as well. Continue with the pink and outline the edge of the mask.
Load your #4 round brush with the orange from your Juicy Fruit Cake to add the chicks beak. Next, load your #4 round brush with Teal and add dots to each petal on the bottom portion of your mask and paint in small swirls and point as shown. Then, load your Kabuki Sponge with pink from your Juicy Fruit Cake and stencil dots on the eyelids using your dotty stencil.
Load your #4 round brush with black and begin outlining your mask. You will also add the chick's eyes and outline his beak. From here you will add a little design to your Easter eggs.
Add your bling and glitter. Finally, Load your #4 Round Brush with Wolfe White and outline the entire design. Add a dot in each of the chick's eye, and several dots inside the heart-like shape.
All done! You can cut down the multiple color outlining if you are short on time or leave them to give your design more pop!
Thanks for joining me! Be sure to let us know what you would like to see in future blogs and be sure to share your designs with us on Facebook.
Until next time… Live, Love, Paint.
