Thanks for joining us this week for another great blog from FacePaint.com. This week I'll show you how to create a sugar skull with a little twist. This design is fast all while maintaining it's "wow" factor. I hope you enjoy!

Here's what you'll need:

1. Global Body Art White
2. Global Body Art Dark Blue
3. Wolfe Black Face Paints - Black
4. Silly Farm Arty Brush Cakes - Peacock
5. Ben Nye Lumiere Grande Colour - Turquoise
6. Always Wicked Art Butterfly Sponge
7. Loew-Cornell® Gold Grip #4 Round
8. Graftobian Angle Brush
9. Graftobian Sponge Tip Makeup Corrector
10. Bling Clusters - Frost
11. Bling Clusters - Rose Garden
12. Amerikan Body Art Opaque Glitter - Royal Blue

The Application:

Load your Always Wicked Sponge with Global White and sponge onto the nose and under the eyes to make a half mask. (I began with eye shadow and liner. This step is optional but highly recommended to complete the design.)

Load your Graftobian Sponge Applicator and load it with Ben Nye Turquoise shadow. Begin contouring the edge of the design and the cheekbones.

Next, load your angle brush with your Silly Farm Arty Cake and paint in 3 petals at the top of the forehead as shown.

Continue by painting three more petals on the chin. Next, load your #4 round brush with Global Dark Blue and paint in the "hollow" part of the cheekbones. Continue by adding swirls and teardrops on each side of the face as shown.

Still using your Global Dark Blue, paint detail lines inside each petal. Follow by adding a series of teardrops under each eye or the top of the mask. then add several lines to the inside of each hollow cheekbone.

Paint in the skull nose with Global Dark Blue then grab your Sponge Applicator and load it with Ben Nye Turquoise eye shadow and add it to the nose to give it a little more pop. Next, load your #4 Round Brush with Wolfe Black and add two teardrops on each side of the bottom flower petals. Follow up with teardrops and a series of cascading dots on the top flower petals. Next, outline each petal in black.

Add some lipstick, (I prefer to use actual lipstick, however if you do not have blue lipstick on hand, any blue face paint will work as well) and use a #4 Round brush loaded with Wolfe Black and add the teeth lines across the mouth. Finally add bling and glitter.
