Princess, fairy, and masquerade designs are the bread and butter of princess parties for little girls. While a few of the guests might opt for super hero masks or cheek art now and then, many will be attracted to glitter and glam, so it’s good to have plenty of variations available for them to choose from.
Materials
• Cameleon Single Stroke Colorblock Evening Split Cake
• Paradise silver face paint
• Silver liquid bling
• Silver or holographic white glitter
• Bling cluster
• Glitter tattoo adhesive
• Sponge
• #4 round brush
• Petal brush
Tutorial
Load your sponge from the Mermaid Pixie split cake and sponge it around the eye area with the lightest color in the center and the darkest color at the outer edge. Use a wet wipe to clean up the edges if necessary.
Place a couple of drops of glitter glue adhesive or any skin-safe adhesive on the back of your bling cluster. Allow it to become tacky before you apply it to the design, and always make sure parents know how to remove it safely.
Load your petal brush with one of the lighter colors from the split cake, adding a darker color on the tip. Press petals along the bottom edge of the mask, beginning in the center and working out. Do the same thing along the top edges. Add three small petals below your bling cluster in the center as well.
Load your #4 round brush with Paradise silver and add swirls and teardrops to your design.
Outline swirls and mask edges with silver liquid bling. While it takes a little longer to dry than the face paint, liquid bling will add an extra visual impact to your mask.
I hope you enjoyed today’s tutorial and that this design is a popular one with your customers this year!
