Introduction
Painting Adults: fears and struggles
My inspiration: Inspired by: Melissa Munn, Monique Lily, Karen Hewen
Basic Principles
Face Structure: Flattering vs. non flattering flow
• Bones / Cheek bones
• UP UP UP _don’t draw it down
• Draw focus on the eyes
Placement
• Curve around the eye: DO NOT PAINT STRAIGHT UP AND DOWN ON THE SIDE OF FACE
• Temptation to fill that whole space
• Less is more!
Flow of the design
• Focal Points
• Examples of various placements
Older Women
• Cheat the corner
• How to deal with wrinkles
Less linework
• More floral petals
Listen to your client
• “I just want something little”.
• Keep it small! Don’t go overboard.
• Give them a WOW factor!
