The Wolfe Essentials 6-color Face Paint Palette contains 6 Wolfe paints (5 grams each) enclosed in a sturdy travel case and comes with one face paint brush. The WolfeEssentials 6-color Palette includes the following colors: White (001), Yellow (050), Red (030), Light Green (057), Blue (070) and Black (010).
Wolfe face paints are densely pigmented making it easy to achieve brilliant color and opaque coverage. Unique to the face paint world, Wolfe FX Hydrocolor Makeup has a wax base that allows paint to flex with movement instead of cracking, so your designs stay put for longer. Once applied, Wolfe Hydrocolor makeup will not smear under normal circumstances, remaining bright, colorful and comfortable to wear.

The small Wolfe palette is an excellent choice for beginner face painters, with a selection of 6 of the most popular color samples to try out. Wolfe colors are wax-based, which makes it vivid, durable and fast drying. The white and black colors are a particular favorite among many painters for line work due to the clean lines they produce and ease of use. For experienced painters, the Wolfe 6-color palette is both versatile and compact, making it great for carrying to small events or having as an emergency palette, stored in a glove box or purse.

One note for beginners or painters unfamiliar with wax-based paints is that they can be slightly more challenging to blend at first due to the quick drying time. Also please be aware that the refills sometimes pop out of the palette so please handle with care.

Shelf Life: Once opened - 12 months. Stored dry and unopened - 3 years.

Great start out colors for face painting!

The stand-out feature is that you can paint wet-on-wet

I had this palette attached to a beginner's book about face painting. The focus was on 'mini-tattoo' designs such as rocket ships, flowers, and lizards rather than full face. The colors are intense and go on evenly, which you would take for granted in this price range.

But the real stand-out is this: you can paint on top of another color straight away. For instance one of the designs was a blue lizard with yellow spots. With these paints, you can paint the blue lizard body and then immediately paint the yellow dots right on top of the blue and the yellow spots stay strong yellow.

No other face paint I used comes close to this ... the yellow spots in other brands soak into the blue to give a muddy green, robbing the design of its impact.
